Week 4, guinea pigs and paint
We are doing a lot of exciting things in class. In head start our inquiry group has been looking at building structures and houses for the people in Nepal after the earthquake. Many people lost their homes. Here are some of our designs.
Our pictures look great!
On Wednesday Brooke and her mum Liz bought in their guinea pigs to share with us.
We wrote a story together as a class.
In art Miss McCoy gave us different things to paint with. She gave us brushes, cotton balls, corns, straws and cotton balls for us to paint a picture. We had to think of different ways we could use them.

School Trip- Week 3, Term 2
On Friday in week 3, Term 2 we went on a school trip to Imagination Station, on the tram and to the Spectrum exhibit at the YMCA.
We loved our trip!
Check out the big smiles on our faces.
We really we enjoyed what we were doing! We had to build a setting for our Lego figurine. Some of us made spaceships and cars and others made buildings.
Callum and Olivia shared their settings with the class.
Callum made a submacar (a car, submarine). He made up the word to go with his design. His figurine drove into the water to Australia.
Olivia made a house and her figurine was trapped inside. She made some stairs which led to some gold.
Some of our designs.
We worked together as a group to make a bigger setting. This was the winning group who got to share. They made a maze which led to treasure. They worked well together.
Then got to put the crown on Ted.
After Inagination Station we went on the Tram around the city and to the YMCA Spectrum exhibit.
One news filmed us. We were excited to be on TV.
We made it to the Spectrum exhibit.
The exhibit was amazing. There was a lot of colour.
We then got back on a different tram to head back to the bus.
We saw some wizards.
The day was great! We were all very tired after.
The man on the Tram and some tourists said we were the best class in all of Christchurch because we were so well behaved and quiet on the Tram. This made us feel very proud!
