What we have been doing

Have a look at some of the fun things we have been doing in Room 1.

2016

In Room one we have been learning that we are all SPECIAL! We have been learning about each other and all the ways we are the same and different.

We read a Big Book called "What does Greedy Cat like".
For art we drew our own Greedy Cat pictures.
Here are a few we drew, Come into our class to see some

We signed a class Treaty. These are the things we are going to be doing this year in Room 1. It is an agreement we all made which will help us work together.

2015

We have been loving Discovery!
Our goal is to Manage Ourselves. Some things we need to do are ... work together and help each other out, persevere on activities that are too hard and make goals.
These are some pictures of some of the things we have been doing so far this year in Discovery.

We have been learning all about school life over the last two weeks.
We are turning into school experts.
In reading we have been learning to read click words and how to use the reading activities. In writing we have been learning how to write stories by drawing a picture composer, listening to sounds and using our phonics, writing click words, using full stops and reading back what we have written. In Numeracy we have been learning about shapes. Shapes have different sides and corners.
We have also been learning about how to use the playground equipment correctly and how to play safely.
We love going out to the playground!
These are some pictures of us in the playground playing safely.

2014
We read a class book called "WATCH ME!"
We thought it was great!
The book was about the life cycle of a frog.
It starts off as an egg and it hatches into a little tadpole. As it grows bigger it also grows front and back legs. Then its tail gets smaller and smaller and it disappears. Then its a frog.
We did frog art and made up frog stories. We even had a little frog come and visit us for a week. Zoe bought in a fly and we thought it was great watching it jump around trying to eat it.
Here are some picture of the wonderful frog work we have been doing.
