At Belfast School we are Dog Smart!

The city council Dog Smart people came to our school to teach us how to be safe with Dogs.

We learnt that we have to clean up after our dogs, give them a safe environment to live and look after them.

We also sang a song and learnt if...

A dog's on its own, leave it alone!

If we want to pat a dog we must ask its owner first. When we go to pat a dog we put our hand in a fist and pat them under their tummy, not their head.

Bubbles!!!!

For story writing we got to blow some bubbles.

We blew BIG bubbles, small bubbles and colourful bubbles.

It was a lot of fun!

Triathlon 23.2.16

We had a triathlon.

We were all in a team of 3. One person swam, the next person rode a scooter and the last person ran. We had to tag the person in our team so they could go. The Junior Syndicate was split into New Entrants and Juniors.

It was a fun day!

Two of the Room 1 teams placed. Tiana, Cameo and Ayden came third and Alexandra, Tanner and Ethan came first.

This Evening, 18.2.16, we are having an information session prior to the Meet the Teacher evening. We will be discussing how you can best support your child's Literacy and Numeracy learning at home as well as some aspects of our school programme.

Aladdin Show

On Monday Hagley Community College came and did an Aladdin performance. We wrote stories about the parts we liked the most. A lot of us liked the dancing the genie did, she was funny. The had to rub the lamp to make her come out and then she granted their wishes.

Skate Park

For Our PE session with Arn this week we went to the Sheldon skate park. We learnt the rules of the skate park and how to use some of the ramps safely.

It was a lot of fun!
